Support for back and neck pain
When pain and tension build up, the body can struggle to relax
Whether it’s persistent neck stiffness, lower back pain, or discomfort that recurs, these patterns are often linked to how the body holds tension and how the nervous system responds to stress or injury.
Craniosacral therapy offers a gentle approach that works with the body to release deep patterns of tension and support natural recovery.
A gentle, non-invasive approach that works with the body
Biodynamic craniosacral therapy is a subtle, hands-on therapy that works with the body and nervous system.
Using light, skilled touch, the practitioner listens for areas where the body may be holding tension — often around the spine, neck, jaw, and connective tissues.
Rather than forcing change, this approach allows the body to move towards balance in its own time.

Supporting the body to release tension and restore balance
Back and neck pain are often linked to strain patterns within the spine and surrounding tissues.
When the nervous system is under stress or the body has experienced injury, tension can become held in muscles, fascia and joints, causing discomfort. Furthermore, it can impact how other systems function, including our digestive system, endocrine and neuro-endocrine function.
Craniosacral therapy supports the body to gently unwind these patterns, encouraging improved mobility, reduced discomfort, and a greater sense of ease.
Common signs of back and neck pain
Each session is tailored to the individual, focusing on reducing strain, improving nervous system regulation, and restoring more comfortable function.
Persistent neck stiffness and or shoulders
When your body cannot fully settle, falling asleep can feel difficult, even when you are tired.
The mind may stay active, the body may feel tense, or there may be a sense of restlessness that prevents you from switching off.
This is often linked to a nervous system that remains in a more alert state.
This work helps support the body to slow down and settle, creating the conditions needed to fall asleep more naturally.
Poor posture
Waking during the night can be a sign that the body is not fully able to stay in a restful state.
This may show up as light sleep, waking at similar times each night, or difficulty returning to sleep once awake.
Often, this is linked to underlying tension or a nervous system that struggles to remain settled.
By supporting regulation, this work can help the body move towards more consistent and uninterrupted sleep patterns.
Lower back pain
Sleep may feel shallow, unsettled, or easily disturbed.
You may wake feeling unrefreshed, even after a full night in bed.
This can be a sign that the body is not fully reaching deeper stages of rest.
By helping the nervous system settle, this work supports more restorative and stable sleep over time.
Tension headaches
Fatigue is not always resolved by more sleep.
Even after resting, the body can still feel heavy, drained, or lacking energy.
This can happen when the nervous system is under strain, preventing the body from fully recovering.
This work helps support deeper rest and recovery, allowing energy levels to stabilise over time.
Restricted movement/head/bending
It is possible to feel exhausted, yet unable to relax.
This often feels like the body is stuck in a state of alertness, making it difficult to switch off, even when you want to rest.
This pattern is commonly linked to nervous system dysregulation.
Craniosacral therapy helps support the body to move out of this heightened state, allowing for greater calm and ease.
Support for feeding, sleep, pain, emotional wellbeing, and nervous system regulation
Whether you are seeking support for your baby, your child, or yourself, this work focuses on understanding what the body is holding and gently supporting it to release.

Introducing myself
Hi I'm Lisa and I'm a registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist.
Our digestive systems starts right at the top - our tongue. Any disruption along this digestive system impacts how we are able to digest anything. Furthermore, if we digest food that we are unaware we're intolerant to or allergic to, or suffer from IBS, Crohns disease or other digestive diagnoses, our gut-brain connection is disrupted, our microbiome is disturbed and our liver which processes nutrients and vitamins etc is impacted. Add on daily stress or periods of stress, and our stress response between our brain-gut system (our enteric nervous system) often brings other unpleasant digestive symptoms. Craniosacral therapy aims to help us rebalance our digestive system using light-touch, to release patterns of tension in our connective tissues and unwind restrictions to support and restore more natural movement and function.
