Craniosacral Therapy for Emotional Regulation & Neurodivergence

When we feel overwhelmed, behaviour and emotions can feel harder to manage

For many children and adults, challenges with emotional regulation, sensory processing, or behaviour are closely connected to how the nervous system responds to stress and stimulation.

Craniosacral therapy offers a gentle approach that supports the nervous system to settle, helping the body find greater balance, calm, and resilience.

A gentle, non-invasive approach that works with the body

Biodynamic craniosacral therapy is a subtle hands-on therapy that works with the body and nervous system.

Using very light touch, the practitioner listens to the body’s natural rhythms and areas where tension may be held — often within the head, spine, diaphragm, and connective tissues.

Rather than forcing change, the therapy supports the body’s natural ability to regulate itself and move toward greater balance.

Supporting the body to regulate and feel safer

For many neurodivergent individuals, the nervous system can become easily overwhelmed by sensory input, emotional stress, or environmental demands.

When the body remains in a state of heightened alert, it may affect behaviour, emotional regulation, concentration, and sleep.

Craniosacral therapy gently supports the nervous system to settle, helping the body move toward a calmer and more regulated state.

Introducing myself

Hi I'm Lisa and I'm a registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist.

Our digestive systems starts right at the top - our tongue. Any disruption along this digestive system impacts how we are able to digest anything. Furthermore, if we digest food that we are unaware we're intolerant to or allergic to, or suffer from IBS, Crohns disease or other digestive diagnoses, our gut-brain connection is disrupted, our microbiome is disturbed and our liver which processes nutrients and vitamins etc is impacted. Add on daily stress or periods of stress, and our stress response between our brain-gut system (our enteric nervous system) often brings other unpleasant digestive symptoms. Craniosacral therapy aims to help us rebalance our digestive system using light-touch, to release patterns of tension in our connective tissues and unwind restrictions to support and restore more natural movement and function.
